         The New York Chapter cordially invites you to enjoy an early evening with with John Righetti, President of the Carpatho-Rusyn Society, will lead a discussion on the similarities and differences of two nearby communities and cultures: Rusyns and Slovaks. This event is hosted by the Czechoslovak Society of Arts and Sciences. It will take place in the Renaissance Revival building built in 1896 was renovated and re-opened in October 2008. The audience will be entertained but challenged in John's amusing description of what distinguishes Rusyns from the neighboring Slovak communities. Enjoy a fascinating journey into the two ethnic group's history, language, food, dance and their identities.
